Autumn family photoshoot in woods
Outdoor mini session
Autumn Family Photography
Vivid autumn family portraits with lots of fun and rustling leaves
The most colourful time of the year
I find the autumn season truly amazing and its vivid scenery and magical colours just call for an autumn family photoshoot. It is for sure one of the most colourful times of the year. Many see it only as the end of summer holidays and the start of school for children. I, however, as a photographer, experience it from a whole different perspective. For me, all those vivid colours and rustling leaves create one of the best outdoor sceneries. So, what stops you from having a great family day out while I create gorgeous autumn family photos for you?
Just imagine your little one sitting on the rustic wooden bench on a tree-lined avenue. Or perhaps a child with an umbrella and wellies in the puddle. These are just a few of my sets and amazing photo props I always carry with me on the autumn photo session. I always try to have new ideas, too, different locations in the woods and a tonne of energy.

What to expect from the autumn family photoshoot in nature
The autumn season is unpredictable, so let me start with this topic first. If you haven’t done it yet, start with reading my autumn mini session leaflet. It will give you lots of information and answers to the most common questions – including the weather. For example, heavy rain and a bad forecast will be the cause for the rescheduled autumn mini session, but clouds and a bit of cold, won’t. While autumn photos of kids in the rain can look amazing, a camera lens “doesn’t like” raindrops and it is also not my intention for kids to get cold.
I always bring many photo props with me but they are weather and location depending. Because of the scenery, terrain, woods, permits, etc., I cannot use all the props everywhere. However, don’t worry, you can always access the locations easily with pushchairs and they allow your 4-leg friends, too. In addition, I expect you to have some family leaf “fight” and lots of fun too!
Autumn family photography is most popular as a mini photo session, although, you can also book it as a full standalone package. However, if colder and windy autumn weather isn’t for you, join me at the summer lavender photoshoot, instead.
Selection, editing and final high-res digital images
Shortly after the autumn photo session, I will send you a link to your online gallery, where you can choose the photos you like the most. In the weeks after, I will then professionally edit your photos and create a high-res gallery with free download.
You can use your new colourful memories in a number of photo products. Most of my clients create canvases for their living rooms, but I’ve seen some other awesome ideas too. For example, a warm and cosy fluffy blanket with an autumn photo of kids playing with leaves.
