What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you get in touch and send an email via the contact form, we collect your full name, email address and mobile number from the form submission for customer service purposes. If leads are converted to a client, the data collected is safely stored for communication purposes (otherwise, it gets deleted after 30 days) and if you agree to get notified about news (optional), the email address is in use for the Gorgeous Moments newsletter. In no cases, your data is shared with anyone else but Gorgeous Moments Photography.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
We only share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any service you have requested or authorised. For example, we share your content with third parties when you tell us to do so. When you provide payment data to make a purchase, we will share payment data with banks and other entities that process payment transactions or provide other financial services, and for fraud prevention and credit risk reduction. In addition, we may share personal data among our controlled affiliates and subsidiaries (e.g. vendors working on our behalf). For example, companies might hire to provide customer service support or assist in protecting and securing our systems and services. These may need access to personal data in order to provide those functions. In such cases, these companies must abide by our data privacy and security requirements and are not allowed to use personal data they receive from us for any other purpose.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Our customers have the right to access, correct and delete personal data relating to them. You can also object to the processing of such data, by addressing a written request, at any time. Gorgeous Moments makes every effort to put in place suitable precautions to safeguard the security and privacy of personal data. We also do everything to prevent it from being altered, corrupted, destroyed or accessed by unauthorised third parties. However, Gorgeous Moments does not control each and every risk related to the use of the Internet, and therefore warns the Site users of the potential risks involved in the functioning and use of the Internet. The Site may include links to other web sites or other internet sources. As Gorgeous Moments cannot control these web sites and external sources, Gorgeous Moments cannot be held responsible for the provision or display of these web sites and external sources. Gorgeous Moments may also not be held liable for the content, advertising, products, services or any other material available on or from these web sites or external sources.
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
